So, today really got to my last nerve, literally. Riding down the highway in my rough ass riding F250 and I hit a bump with out bracing for impact. Head jerks down from the bump and boom, pulled a muscle/pinched a nerve in my back all the way to my hand. Nice tingly/burning sensation, lovely.
So, this can't go on anymore. I am throwing all reservations out the window and practicality is going to the curb. I really would like a 2+2 but not necessary. Reliability isn't a problem, since I have back up cars but after market support would be a plus. So here's the short list. 996 911 m96 engine C6 Vette Jaguar XKR CTS V coupe somthing that is borderline ridiculous. What do you guys suggest. |

I had the DCT. I loved that transmission. It is a high-revving and nimble car. The balance on it seemed near perfect and it was a blast to take on curvy roads.
I also had a lot of fun with the launch control which really makes the car take off from a dead stop. Edited: I no longer have the car. I am, however, lusting after my neighbor's M4. He had all the Dinan stuff done to it and he upped the HP from about 420 to 525 HP. It's a beast. |

I had electronic dampening control. You could select the mode from Comfort (soft ride), Normal, Sport and Sport +. The Sport +1 is for the track and when I put it on while on the road you could feel every pebble on the road. Comfort was much better, but it's still fairly firm by say an Escalade's standards. I usually ran everything in the tightest setting and the fastest shifts. |

I did took a c6, non magnethoric suspension, for a test drive, it was like a old mans Cadillac compared to my f250. I think it may be the horrible roads down here. Maybe I'm looking more for a grand tourer. My gto was a very comfortable car. |

Sounds like there's something wrong with the suspension, how old is the truck? If you're not running at GVWR lower the tire pressure to maybe 45FR/65RR for starters and see how that rides. My old '91 F350 2WD CC (9200 GVWR) rode like a Caddy at 50FR/65RR, I went a bit higher on the front because the 7.3l diesel weighed twice what a small block did. |

I just replaced the front parts and the rear isn't sitting on the helper spring. Tires are at 55psi. Also running soft Monroe shocks. Maybe my tires are the problem. |

I bought a Polaris Slingshot a couple of weeks ago. It is quick. It is a blast to drive.

I have been doing some research on the 2007+ XKR's and it seems like it will fit my bill since it's a GT car. The parts and aftermarket support probably sucks though.

My vote is the Jag XKR for a smooth ride. The maintenance on those is not too bad as far as that category car goes and it sure is a lot cheaper than an Aston. Jag has made a lot of changes for the better on reliability.
The Vette with the adjustable suspension would be nice too. |

It's also a plus that it has a legit back seat. I wonder if the 5.0 on the newer cars is that much better than the older 4.2. The 5.0 has direct injection goodness. I wonder if anyone makes the supporting mods for the bottom end to handle more HP. |

CTS-V
The rest of those cars are also going to have stiff suspensions. At least that one is comfortable & 640HP. |
