There are some good people that work there.  One of the better dealers I've dealt with.

It's a 2.5" Teraflex lift with an additional .75" Rubicon Express coil spacers in the rear.  Stock Rubicon shocks with extenders.  It does very well I think.

Looks like I didn't post last week's update...

Jeep actually didn't return from this week's excursion unscathed. 1st shop thought it was the TC, but shop #2 (which is the biggest Jeep shop in PHX) really thinks it's just the front DS.

DS comes back from rebuild tomorrow (I did it myself last time, but too busy now) and I'll know for sure.

Checking the cameras.  I put on Rubi tires/wheels, rock rails, chopped the front bumper down, and added the winch.  Also got a hitch and a tiny trailer.  Tis my hunting ride.

Here's my TJ. 06 4.0/6spd 30/44 couple mods here and there. I have been thinking of getting rid of it in favor of 4 door truck, but I'm not sure I can let her go. Its paid for and not my daily anymore and where I live its very nice to have a jeep in the winter if it snows. Getting new tires in the next couple weeks, believe I'm going to run the new KO2 in 33x10.50r15. I've been very pleased with the original KO.

I believe this was the winter of  2013, seeing how well she worked as a snowplow.

And yes I seem to have a thing for snow pics that I just realized while looking through my jeep pictures

Good looking Jeep.  If it's not your daily driver, why not go with something more aggressive on tires?

I think BFG a/t are great looking tires, but I've seen lots of Jeeps have to go around obstacles because of their lack of off road traction.

When i bought my original KO's it was my DD. Im torn between the new KO2 and the KM2. I like the KO for packed snow/ice, but the KM2 would probably be better for getting up our mountain road to our house in deep untouched snow. Im leaning more towards the mud terrain because i would like to get into wheeling more. And the km2 looks badass.
Link Posted: 11/4/2015 12:01:55 PM EDT
[Last Edit: ISED8U] [#31]
If it's not your DD, and you primarily use it as a foul weather vehicle (especially snow), I would lean towards a more aggressive a/t tire.  That's just me.

The KM2 would be an awesome choice, or maybe the Goodyear Duratrac would be worth a look.  I run the Cooper ST MAXX on my Jeep, which isn't as toothy as either of those per se, but I've never had to go around off road obstacles because of a lack of traction with them.  Granted I also run Hutchinson headlock wheels and can air my tires down to single-digit psi, which makes traction significantly better.

If the duratrac was offered in 33x10.50 thats what i would run. I was kind of set on a 10.50 wide tire but that does make my options very limited. My old KO's never let me down. Even in mud, which it wasn't mud bogging type of mud but i have had it in some fairly sloppy stuff. And the lasted forever, They have 65k on them and if i wouldnt of let my steering go for so long i would probably have made it through another winter with them. But last winter was the first winter in our new house up in the mountains, there was a couple times i wanted a more aggresive tire getting up to the house.

Added 2-1/2" more lift and 35-12.50x17 tires.  Still need to get the lockers installed and the PoisonSpyder diff covers on.

ETA, also have a Warn winch for it but that will be a winter project as I'm planning on fabricating front and rear bumpers when I mount the winch.  I'm also going to replace the rocker panels with tubing sliders.

Yeah, 2008-2012 Jeep KK Liberty's are actually badged as Cherokees outside the USA.
Has a big following esp those who were fans of the original Cherokee like me
Although it's not quite true to the original, Still very capable on and off road.
I would like to think that the Jeepforums/ Lostjeeps.com are the Arfcom of jeep forums

I don't have KM2's, but I can tell you I absolutely hate general grabber AT/2s in the rain. These things blow so bad, I broke the ass end loose going around turns in my XJ yesterday.

I've been very happy with my 33x1050 KM2's, though they haven't seen much, if any, snow.

How are they in the rain? Have any pics?

I don't have KM2's, but I can tell you I absolutely hate general grabber AT/2s in the rain. These things blow so bad, I broke the ass end loose going around turns in my XJ yesterday.

My wife has the A/T2's on her liberty and they have done good so far. I was actually talking to a guy at work today about his XJ and he said its spins alot in the rain and is thinking about putting an LSD in the rear. He said it only weighs 3100lbs and is just to light in the ass end.

Im ordering tires tonight, still havent decided yet. Im leaning towards the KM2....

I haven't had any issues in the rain, however, we don't get much.

I struggle for good pics of the tires, but here are a couple that show them off OK...

How much if any lift do you need in order to fit the 33x10.5 under a TJ?

If you ask me, people tend to go too big with the lifts and tires on jeeps IMO. I guess that's fine for a dedicated trail rig but for a dual/all purpose jeep, that seems to be the right amount of looks/performance gain/practicality.

It will depend on how much articulation you want.

Lift = articulation

Tires = clearance

So, for example, I could fit 35in tires in my JK without issues on normal roads.  For the kind of off road I do (overland and mild crawling) I installed a 2.5in coil lift, which is plenty for my use.    If I wanted a more aggressive crawling I'd have to put a 4in lift but it would also require changing a lot of other things.
