Mark, is that your 4BT conversion?

ETA: YEAH! I see the badge on the side now. I remember seeing it at the larue/BOTW day a few years ago. Nice rig.

1996 Grand Cherokee. 4.5" long arm lift, slip yoke eliminator and custom driveshafts, NP231 transfer case conversion with the Novak shifter and Rubicon wheels and tires.  It's getting a Warn M8000 and Aussie locks when I get the camper project finished.

It's in the process of being rebuilt now - OM617, stock AX15, Dana 300, Dana 60/14 bolt, 0-2" lift springs, SOA, SRS, and custom tummy tuck skidplate. Planning on running 36"s.

My new one:

'06 TJ Rubicon, 4.0l, 6-speed. My driver till the YJ is done.

This happened to my poor YJ last week. Some broad in a F250 decided to not look at oncoming traffic and pulled straight into the side of me. Spun me around and I rolled down the embankment. I was fortunate in that I only got a couple of bruises - the seat belt and roll bar did their job. My poor Jeep is toast, though.

1995 YJ - 4.0L (aka "The Punisher")  Low speed, high drag, but it gets me there and back again.

And yes, contrary to the pic below, it does get off the pavement.  (Just happened to have these on the ol' iPotato)
I've only had it three years but so far it's been over Ophir, Tomboy/Imogene (3 days after the pass opened ), and the Alta Lakes Loop in the Telluride region;
Elwood Pass, Silver Falls, and Summitville in the Pagosa Springs region;
and the Phantom Canyon/Shelf Road Loop, Royal Gorge South Loop in the Canon City area.  And many other side trails and scenic drives to "wherever" the mood struck me while on vacation.

Gratuitous pic from the top of Monarch Pass, CO.

Right hand quarter panel is the same, except for the flag which is reversed to the correct orientation.

I really like the thing.  It handles great compared to everything else we own, has good power, and gets great gas mileage.

We didn't buy it to wheel it.  I have a Rubicon for that.  However of the trails i've done I can only think of a couple I wouldn't try with the Trailhawk if I were so inclined.  As for mud, anything without a lot of ground clearance and the proper tires will get marred up in mud.  And after the last time I went through a mud pit in my Rubicon and came out with overheating problems due to all the mud in the radiator, I steer clear of anything that looks like whats in that picture unless absolutely necessary.

Yeah, it's a bummer. State Farm totaled it - of course I knew they would. When the right rear tire hit the bumper of the F250 it bent everything rearward - including the rear end housing and the frame rail. Toast. It also popped three body mounts, the bolts pulled through the frame perches.

I thought about buying it back for a crawler project, but I have a Vette and a TA project ongoing. Don't need another one!

Yessir.  DIY, but real, nonetheless.

Pic is with the 36" tires at 5 psi.  It's sitting 1/4" lower than my 33s at 25 psi.  I should have got a measurement of my 33s at 8 psi, which I normally wheel at, to get a true comparison.

Those are a couple of really nicely done rigs. Been in groups with XJ's and the one set up like yall's are as capable as can be.

Im jelly of all the room yall have. Mine has about as much storage space as a Nike shoe box.

Taking out the back seat does help though.

Clean and nicely built ride you have.

My friend's is waaay more capable than mine. But the room is pretty awesome, I love it for road trips, and hauling shit doesn't work out too bad. Plus its a bed for camping!

Those are Cooper Discoverer STT PRO.  I would be interested to hear if you still like them after about 10k miles.

I ran a set of Cooper's old model STT on my pickup and they couldn't be balanced after 10k miles.  Cooper wouldn't warranty them despite 3 of the 4 having complete tread separation.  I replaced them with Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX and couldn't be happier with the swap.  I wanted to run the new STT PRO on my jeep but because of my bad luck with the old STT I went with the less aggressive ST MAXX on the Jeep.  The STT were a good looking tire, but they nearly whopped and rattled my pickup to death.

A few year back I was GIFTED the cleanest 95' wrangler you've ever laid eyes on.  85k original miles on the little 4 banger, 5 speed, with a 2 inch thick envelope that contained every maintenance item ever done to it.

Initially I lifted it 2.5", put a new steering wheel, new +1 size mud tires, new stereo, new brakes, fresh tune up, and all new fluids in the little dana 30/35 axles, new KC lights, Smittybuilt bumpers front and rear.  I drove it this way for about 3 years before going full retard on it.

About 6 months ago we yanked the entire drive train out of it, all the brakes, wiring, gauges, everything.  The first thing to go in was a freshly rebuilt L31 5.7 V8 with ported and polished Vortec heads, ceramic coated headers that were wrapped.  All new engine accessories were put in including a HO 140 amp alternator, electric flex-a-lite fan with dual core V8 conversion radiator.

The list of stuff goes on and on (off the top of my head): GM one ton axles Dana 60 and 14 bolt (rebuilt), 513 gears with Grizzly lockers front and rear, Heavy duty diff covers and pinion armor, disc brake conversion done on both axles, 3/4 ton brake booster, rebuilt small block 5.7 efi V8 with a high flow inline fuel pump, rebuilt 700R4 trans with stage II shift kit, rebuilt NP 205 transfer case, new PSC full hydraulic steering, new high-steer conversion, all new Autometer gauges, 17" Hutchinson bead lock wheels (8 on 6.5), 37" Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX tires, new Warn premium hubs, Poison Spyder steel front fenders, rockers, and rear corners which are all powder coated in semi gloss black.  12" ZeroDark LEd light bar, Warn 9.5ti winch, LED ZeroDark light pods on Poison Spyder windshield mounts.
