Since the last one got archived lets try for another. 2013 scavenger hunt
A picture to start us off The last picture from last year Taken by master_splinter Ask for someone to post a photo with his bike and a specific thing. The first person to post the photo gets to choose the next thing. If no one posts a photo in 48 hours, the person who chose the subject gets to pick something else. No recycled photos. The goal is to get out and ride. How about your bike on a bridge. |
Tag for my weekend, thanks for starting a new round OP
Edit Current challenge is your bike on a bridge |
Damn i figured a bridge would be easy, too bad its going to be cold in the coming week.
In. I'm a little preoccupied at the moment but hopefully I can get on the bike again next week
For sure in. It's supposed to hit 70* today, so I'm definitely going out riding this afternoon. Should be able to get the bridge photo if I can find one with a shoulder.
I am game for this as soon as the weather warms up, low of 21 today
pretty fucking cold here. i think it's snowing out right now. just bought two jackets. both from Cycle Gear... both their house brand. I'll decide which one i wanna keep as soon as i can get out on the bike.
Since we cant seem to find a bridge a road sign with the letters u or v.

Well we got into the garage today; pulled out the CBR600 and trailered it to the Honda shop to have the carbs done....
Was at the BMW store looking at a used GS1000 Dakar Ride? hell I haven't even ridden my bicycle from the other end of the Shop since September. |
i probably should have my carbs cleaned, but i spent 1800 on the bike, i have no desire to spend 300 to clean the carbs

Spend the $300. It will be immediately and obviously worth it. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

You can try a can of seafoam. Some report that it will clean out carbs. No personal experiance though. How about a pic of your bike next to a BBQ pit or smoker that is lit and cooking some food. Food being visible is a plus, women posing with it is also a bonus. |

wow, nobody has a grill? ok, how about a pic of you sitting on your bike at some type of event/gathering/rally/group ride/ect.
This should be easy enough. |

There are a lot of fellow SV havers here, I finally feel included!

Make sure to support the TxMotoFoto guy. I thought he was just going to be some guy, but he takes professional-quality photos. Downloads are only $10 too.
All in all, it was one hell of a ride. I had a headache and a sore ass by the end of it, but I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face. I think it's a ride any serious motorcyclist needs to take once. |

View Quote I've been there many times and have a couple of his pics. We stopped and talked to him once and have chatted with him over email. Nice guy. Give me a shout if/when you're heading that way again. It's a long day trip for me but we usually go once or twice in the spring and a couple of times in the fall. Arkansas has more agreeable temps in the summer months. |
Ahh, if I was still living up in NE Texas I'd be making regular runs up to Arkansas. I'm down in Kerrville now, though, so it's pretty easy for me to hit the Sisters whenever I've got a spare weekend. If I don't have too much going on this weekend, I'll probably make a run over to the Sisters again.
