Body work is done. Not much to show you at this point, headed into primer and paint. We might have a car this summer! We'll see.
I just picked up an additional 1969 440 complete engine. I plan to build this motor up to 700-800 horse. I'll get the original running and then swap them out.

Whywould you put the k member in before paint & wouldn't it be easier to assemble the drive train on the K member & lower the body down in it?

They can be a lot easier to move with the suspension installed

However they put the K member in to make sure it fits correctly, bolts up, etc to the car. They under coated the car last week and are turning it into a roller. They'll prime and paint the car after. When it comes time to put the driveline in, I'll pull the K member, mount the engine and trans to the K member, raise the body up and set it down on the driveline, just like you mention.

Sorry for the delay boys, car has been in primer/paint stage for what feels like an eternity.
Hoping to have a painted car sooner rather than later.

I am so jealous...
It will be forever before I can paint my car. Looks great man! |

I ok'd the paint yesterday. It took them a while to match the correct original F8. Tough color because in the dark it almost appears black, but in the sunlight it has some goldish tint to it. I expect they are laying paint today.
Exciting times! |

Very nice man. I expect to see you at the Super Cruise in Golden once its done. I almost bought a Ivy Green 440-4v A833 '70 'cuda... but bought the post nuclear holocaust green one instead.

Very Nice! Just last weekend I was back home in FL, and my dad's neighbor just finished a frame off restoration of a 1 of 1 1970 Charger Super Bee with a 383. White with light blue stripe, blue interior, 4 speed pistol grip. The only one made in that combo with a manual in 1970 according to the Chrysler registry. Sweet cars indeed, but huge!

I even used a puller and couldn't get it off, I had to cut it. Back to the cheap lead ones for me. The batt leaked around the terminal, first time that ever happened to me and it turned the terminal white with powder/corrosion. Batt was destroyed at 5 years. |

i wish to he that they would do a retro styled charger. Challenger looks great, even if a heavy pig.
I am a Ford guy but Challengers and Chargers are fucking cool cars. Also love 67 Chevelles. |
