Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Looking for software to track client leads

I do consulting for health care, and have been using a combination of paper and pencil and Excel to track from contacts to prospects to clients.  But now I want to see if there is a simple app that can keep me organized as I get busier.  Not sure what I'm looking for but would like to learn from others' experience.

Before the haters, you can get a single user saleforce.com seat aka customer relationship management sw.  If you need to manage partners, there are partner relationship management systems as well.

You are looking for CRM software or smaller scale PIM software.

CRM = customer relationship management

PIM = personal information management

I use EPIM for personal stuff and I've never signed up for any CRM software but I've used legal-related CRM software. There are tons of options out there including industry specific options. Google it.
