Generally speaking, that's a question you should have asked and answered 6 months ago.

The Market is always 3 steps ahead of your thought process.  2 steps ahead of the news cycle.

So wait, when all the arfcommers want to buy stock that's at record highs or sell because it tanked, you think that might be unwise? LOLOLOL

OP.

Good luck...there is no magic answer.

If you are not super into watching the news 24x7, sector based ETFs or funds that focus on things like the S&P 500 may be your best bet.  Frankly, the best investors have real difficulty beating funds like VOO.  An ETF that follows the S&P is generally a solid bet in a growing economy.  YMMV...just my thoughts.

I wouldn't get too anxious until they figure out if/when they're going to do the tax cuts. That uncertainty has been tainting the market, because the market had already built in the anticipation of them happening within the first 100 days.

Sure, there'll be movers here and there between now and then, but nothing on a wide scale like we saw after the election.

You'll have to do the traditional thing like wait for job reports (such as today), earnings, ect.

I don't think it'll help with butthurt, but speaking of pills.....

If Eli Lilly gets approval to sell Cialis OTC, that may be a good stock to jump on. Also, Tiva Pharmaceuticals is supposed to be allowed to release generic Viagra in December. It's stock hasn't been doing all that well lately, but if sales of generic Viagra do well, it may be worth looking at.

I can't comment as I am not a stock picker, but can you imagine a OTC boner pill? wow.

Exactly. They'd sell like hotcakes, and the company making them would make a pile of cash.

They should sell the OTC boner pills with a syringe, alcohol swap and a "how to" youtube link.

Was watching the expert panel on CNBC today. The said that in spite of the most favorable no interest Fed policy, Obama couldn't really break the economy free since he saddled business with all sorts of regulations. Now that Trump is in office, Obama's policies are expected to be reversed and the economy should break wide open. Then the Feds will step in and pull it back with interest rate increases. WTF??

BTW the CNBC panel expects Finance and Healthcare to do well
