I use ettade, flat rate trades. If I but expensive stock I buyour with usaa. If you plan on penny stock, then etrade. (I don't recommend pennies) flat rate trades are good when buying cheaper stock (less than $1) take for instance 100,000 shares on usaa will cost alot more than 100,000 on etrade.

For what purpose?
Are you going to trade lightly or buy and hold? If you are using small amounts of money, commissions will hurt. Robinhood is commission free stock trading. But it is mobile app only and the research abilities suck. I use robinhood in conjunction with thinkDesktop. You can't short or trade options in Robinhood right now. Another free commission platform is Loyal 3 but it is more limited than Robinhood in that you can only pick from 70 companies. |

I have been using TradeKing. I think Fidelity received high rankings this yer.

Can you set limit buy/sell transactions with Robinhood? Any limits on the number of trades or amount that can be traded?

I use Scottrade. $7 trades are high and they add up. TD and Scottrade will soon be one. No word on what trades will cost after the merger. 90 days.
I am looking for something cheaper but need all the features of the Scottrade trading platform. Any have experience with Interactive Brokers? |
