Looking at re-adjusting some funds in the IRA toward resource based names.

Also, does anyone have a decent search tool that includes dividends?
Yahoo has one

Not sure about funds, but lots of oil/drillng stocks pay good dividends: Seadrill is yielding over 11%; Transocean is yielding better than 5.5, BP is at 4.7; exxon is at 2.6 or so. I would think that any fund aimed at the sector would have pretty good dividend exposure.

PBT or SJT both pay monthly and both give you a depletion allowance on your taxes.

Don't put MLPs in tax-deferred accounts, as MLPs are already tax-advantaged investments.  If your collective MLPs investments have more than $1000 in UBTI in a single tax-deferred account you'll be taxed on the excess.  It's a tax nightmare.

Yes this is JP Morgan's ETF version of the Alerian MLP index.

Beware that this index HEAVILY Enterprise (EPD) with a 16%+ weight.

the Cushing 30 index is an equal weighted index, but there's probably not many ETFs that track it.
