I'm planning on enlisting this fall, and I'm looking at my different options for an MOS.  Is this an MOS that has a future with combat winding down, or would I be better off somewhere else?

I scored a 94 on my ASVAB, and have always worked with animals.  Besides cleaning dog poop, what do is life as a dog handler like besides what a recruiter would have to say?

dag handler is always an active job.

See if you can get an airborne contract too.

J/k, I think it would be a pretty kick ass job.

I know lots of them. It's a very high op tempo job as you have missions CONUS and OCONUS. You will do lots of special missions for things like presidential details, and other VIP stuff. I don't know a single handler who didn't love their job though. You will also have some significantly marketable skills once you ETS if you decide to get out.
