I just saw the goal on HLN while at work.

I was watching it until US went down 0-2.

I switched to the England Scotland friendly.

I missed a hell of a game, I guess.

Sounds like it might have been a hell of a game.  Come back from a 2-0 deficit, Altidore has a hat trick, US wins 4-3.

Sad I missed it.

ETA:  Found a .gif of Altidore's 3rd goal:

To be fair England-Scotland was a fine match.

watched it last night. GREAT game.

Jozy looks promising going into the World Cup.

When is the last time we won in Europe without Demps or Landon?

Bender Rodriquez is going to kick some Fantasy EPL ass though, whoever that guy is.

I've always been pretty good at Fantasy... my teams usually end up worth 105+ points by Christmas.

now that I say that.......

ETA*** that is team worth... start out at 100.

Want some tips? Add Jozy to your team now. He is only worth 7.0. He will be way above that by the end of the season. It really helps out when you add people that are low..... that way when they gain credit you get more points... which in return allows you to trade them for better players. Also.... SAVE YOUR WILDCARD. your full team may end up being hurt. it's nice to have that in waits in case that happens to you. you get 1 free transfer per week. the rest cost you weekly points. -4 per transfer. It happened to me 2 seasons ago. 6 of my main players all got injured and i didn't have a wildcard left.

talk about shitty luck

I've got Altidore.  Traded in Defoe for him after his hat trick.

Thanks for the wild card advice.

Hell of a game to kick of the season.  Mignolet is going to win himself a lot of fans if he keeps that up.  Here's his save in the 89' to keep Liverpool up 1-0 for the 3 points.

I checked in on my team today.....47 points, 2nd in your league, 5th in my other classic league and beating my opponent in my head to head league.....not too shabby.

Then I looked at how many teams have Chelsea players and realized they play 2 freaking games later this week.

Should have put at least one of those bastards on my team.  Oh well, that's what I get for not putting much thought or research into my picks.

good job on opening weekend!

I didn't do worth a fuck.... then again... I never do worth a fuck at the start of the season.

I am one of the guys with 3 Chelsea players. What sucks is one is Lukaku and they just showed he isn't starting. My first sub on the bench to replace him? 1 point....

I just traded Cazorla for Nolan. Probably a big mistake but with him not starting yesterday kinda has me worried he would be dropping below being worth 10 points. I figured I better get my 10 points back out of him before i start loosing points.

Looks like I'll use my extra 3 points i got from that trade on getting someone better in Lukaku's spot. Possibly Benteke.

**ETA** It's always a good idea to pick up players that I trade away. I'm notorious for trading a player and then the following week they score a hat trick/get a lot of assists/etc. Defoe did that to me last year. I traded him at the start of the season. He bagged a few goals the following games. I got him back on my team and he went on a drought. Traded him away again only to watch him score a hat trick the following weekend.

Watched both of those games. Isco is going to be amazing. I'm a huge fan of Ozil and was pissed when Ancelotti subbed him off instead of Isco, but it proved to be a fine decision. Hope it doesn't mean Isco is in front of Ozil in the CAM pecking order because Avatar Eyes is one of the best in the world. Betis played well. Cedrick looks to be a talent. Not much to say about the Barca game. Thought it was interesting that Tata subbed off Messi. Outside of his injury earlier this year, I've never seen Messi subbed off. He looked shocked.

As a LFC fan, loved that we opened up the season with a win. Such a confidence boost for Mignolet for the upcoming season. Sturridge is going to be up there for the Golden Boot no doubt in my mind - barring health of course. We just need to sign Willian and we're set. Kolo Toure really impressed me yesterday, too.

Watched a few games this weekend.

Than Man City game was amazing.
The ref adding 6 minutes to the end almost allowed them to come back.

The Man U v. Chelsea game was a drag.

If Fox Sports doesn't find someone with some passion for announcing, I'm going to lose it.

By the end of the first half, I wanted to punch a dolphin.

Stupid Schalke will be lucky to get a point in the CL. So far, they've managed to tie one game and lose the other two to sub-par teams. So many hopes for this season, and they're all in the friggin' trash already. It's going to be a long season.

The horns will do just fine this season.  Perhaps not BCS (unlike a lot of other teams, anything less can be viewed as something of a disappointment), but they'll go to a decent bowl and probably win.

^interesting to see how that pans out.

No transfer deadline day talk? Shame on you guys.

Absolutely shocked Ozil left Real Madrid. Disappointed, mad, etc. If anything Di Maria is too similar to Bale so he should have gone, not Ozil. Apparently Ronaldo isn't too happy about the departure. I'm not surprised - I'd be upset too if my friend/assist machine left. Gonna have two massive egos collide in Bale and Ronaldo I think.

Congrats Arsenal - you just pulled off the deal of the summer. Attacking midfielders may not be what Arsenal need, but he's a world class player and you guys just got a lot better with him in your team. Ozil is my favorite player so it sucks he went to a rival. According to reports he preferred a move to United, but they weren't interested. Idiots.

As far as my club goes, I'm happy with the business we conducted during the summer. Got rid of some dead weight, loaned some players out, and improved our weak points. Most importantly, we kept Suarez.

Oh yeah and....TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
