Long story short, I am looking at some home DVR systems.  The system I am looking at has an Ethernet connection but no wireless.  The location that I am wanting to install the DVR itself is not wired for an Ethernet connection, and if possible, I'd prefer to just connect a wireless adapter of some sort.

Any recommendations?

What you want is called a wireless to Ethernet adapter. I have one at home, I can't remember the exact model, but most network companies make some sort of one.

You just plug put it on your wifi network and then plug you non-wifi device into it.

Most are around $50 or so.
