Original title: The GF and I visited Manila Ocean Park with another ARFCOM member...
Here are some pics! @PatriotAR15 was in town to do some stuff at the embassy, and we decided to meet up and hang out a bit. The plan was originally to head over to Intramuros, but the weather turned a bit shitty so we instead decided to make a run through ocean park. Anyone that's seen my trip threads should know it's one of my favorite places to visit here in Manila.
I'm pretty sure he had a great time too. He may come in and post some pics here as well, he had his Canon() camera with him.
On the way there, I snapped this quick pic out the window of a speeding train - I'll have to make a point to visit this at some point.
While searching for his hotel, we encountered this:
Don't see many of those around anymore. The outside is a bit rough but the inside looked in pretty good condition.
Our first stop as we walked from his hotel was Rizal Park.
This is the Rizal monument. It's a very important fixture here in Manila, as well as the rest of the Philippines as a whole. It's not just a memorial to a national hero, but it's also kilometer 0. In other words, all roads lead to Rizal Park.
It was around here that the weather turned against us and we decided to change course and head to Ocean Park.
Various fish:
We also saw this cruise ship in port:
Panorama attempt:
Jellyfish room:
And some poison dart frogs to finish things off
I've got some more pics from another trip I'll have up later today or tomorrow. It's a little after 3pm as I'm posting this. Enjoy!

That's a Nikon D750 for ya. 24-120 f/4 lens, aperture was usually f/4 or f/5.6
ISO was mostly 12,800. Kinda dark in there. Even still, a lot of the shutters were at 1/125 or 1/60. A few were even slower.

I like the car shot esp seeing a bit of the red from the modern car behind the VW's red. There was a yellow one from Alaska in a parking lot a couple weeks ago but I didn't have my camera.
And Puffer fish are cool.

I found a gif that fits this thread, and Zack's thoughts as well.

No flash allowed. Definitely not an on camera flash in any case.
They never said constant light was prohibited. I may have used my phone light to help with some of these.

I'm trying to upload some photos I took yesterday. My Fiance and I took our prenuptial photos. I love how she looks in them, but not so happy with how I look. I gained a little bit of weight over the past few months... and she had me wear a buttoned up shirt that really makes me look pudgy as hell.
I was able to take some stunning photos of her, however.
Unfortunately, the internet in this part of the Philippines is *PAINFULLY* slow. The hotel's download speed is so damn slow, and the upload speed is even worse.
In fact, I had to take all my photos at the prenup shoot in JPEG. My laptop isn't powerful enough to really run any photo editing software. While my Fiance's computer has enough memory to run it, we can't likely download the photo editing software with the horrendously slow download speeds available at the hotel. So we had to shoot in JPEG, just so we can have the photos available for printing for our invitations.
I know the rules on this board, so here's a pic of me and my Fiance when I visited her in Bangkok 6 months ago (she's been living and working there as an English teacher for the past 4 years)

Got some photos put up on Flickr. These aren't all the photos, just the few ones I was able to tolerate uploading on our hotel's slow wifi.
