My trip summed up in 12 mediocre photos. I only had the 35 1.8 lens so I made do with that the entire trip.

Love that night shot of the Ferris wheel.

On a tripod, I assume?

I forgot my tripod all together and didn't want to buy a second one. I used the railings for the steps that are right under the picture and did my long exposure there.

Santa Monica pier is too busy to set up a tripod in the middle of it unfortunately.

I like the sleepy lion shot.  That's a good pic in my book.

Some of those are pretty good.
All of them are great captures of memories of the trip (the primary purpose of the images).

You did a good job with the limited lens option you had.

Thanks for the kudos guys. If I could do it over again I would have packed my other lenses.

All in all I learned a lot and it was fun.
