This game needs a Barrett M82. That would scratch an itch.

How's the new update? I need to start the download when I get home. I see they did not fix the sync-shot without icons, which is regrettable.

It was running like 40-50 FPS on medium settings. By far the worst this card has ran any game for me

I think a lot of it is poopy optimization on ubi's part

Make sure your SLI is enabled. I was playing on the 2nd PC again last night and it was running terribly (after running awesome a few nights ago). I exited the game and launched the NVIDIA configuration panel and I saw that my SLI configuration had been disabled, presumably when I updated drivers earlier in the day.

ETA: some updated follow-up info on game-performance notes on this rig are near the bottom of this page. Seems to have changed since the 2nd update.

True, but at least they're fixing it. I think they should put the scar in. I'm still curious as to why the Steyr Aug gives out more damage then the M4A1 and m416.

Went from Advanced starting to extreme now, no other way to play IMO.

Right from the options menu, whenever you want.

Agreed about "extreme". It's not even a question of difficulty. The game just plays much better that way. More convincing & immersive.

Yeah, I figured it out. I was trying to change it before starting the campaign vs. starting it and then changing.

That's how I feel about it. Was talking to my buddy and suggested he increase it to extreme, makes for a much better experience. He said no, he likes to live....

Well if you do actual recon on an area, you will live.

Haven't been on in about a week and I'm itching to get back on, probably won't until Friday night.

So to those of you that haven't finished it. Don't rush. I rushed through and finished it. Now I'm cleaning up intel and other the other non-disirable weapon parts, but can only stand to do a few at a time before I get bored. I might give it another run through at higher difficulty.

Did you guys notice the disclaimer that was added with the new patch?
Basically, it's saying it's a fictional game... and don't hate on Bolivia for the fictional events portrayed, yadah yadah...

This game is great. I have been bouncing around all over the map -- which is huuuge! The graphics are pretty good imo. I'm having a lot of fun playing this.

Finally went out and got my MSR and the tac scope. Just need the long barrel and the extended .338 LM magazine and maybe I can stop gear whoring for a bit!

I kind of want a nice LMG for those rebel radio missions, though. Last one was pretty decent, I laid loads of mines down which helped, then the helos came. Fortunately I have been upgrading the vehicle damage perks so a LMG comes in handy there!

Yeah I got stuck inside a rock somehow. Can't frag yourself because you keep getting revived. I just turned the game off and back on.

Finally encountered one of those invincible cartel guys. I think the game thought there was some cover in front of him, but there wasn't.

I'm no longer releasing those idiot rebel prisoners. Every time I do, they start shooting as I'm taking the base all silent like.

I started a female character. She's a lot more fun to watch run the map. Well drawn, shall we say..

I really enjoy the early skill levels in this game. Trying to earn your next gun without any optics or night vision or parachutes is a challange.

Thanks for the tip on fast-travel to a safe house. That worked for me last night too.
Somehow it doesn't piss me off as much if I don't have to grenade myself to death as part of the reboot process.

There is a Mk17 which I think is a 308 scar, but I'm no expert. I like it better than the 556 ACR, especially with the longer barrel as a sniper rifle. D_J pointed that out on the last page, and he's right. The standard barrel is also pretty sweet for 100-150m shots. You can select the action on the Mk.17 to a great semi-auto action for sniping. The ACR, by contrast, is better as an SBR, in my opinion. My chick character unlocked the Bren and it's a pretty sweet gun, except it recoil walks upwards quite a bit. Maybe just because of my chick's scrawny arms. It does seem like the physical differences are modeled. She seems to move quicker, and is less easily detected, I could swear. But maybe it's just perception.

ETA: some follow-up on game-performance notes I posted above.. I wanted to post that since the last game update, patch 2, my pc with two SLI 960s hasn't been able to run on anything but medium settings. The available VRAM in the option graphics settings screen only shows 2GB available, which is garbage because I have both cards in SLI and that should make 4GB available I think. I suspect that the second patch broke SLI support, because I swear that I was running on "very high" modes the evening before. Either that, or I was too drunk to notice I wasn't!

VRAM doesn't stack so it won't treat it as you having 4GB of total VRAM available. It's treating it as you having a master card with 2GB available and a slave card with 2GB available.

I am curious to what kind of FPS you guys are getting in game as the other day i saw a review on the 1080 Ti and it was only getting a max of 69 FPS on ultra in 1080p. Even weirder is it only drop to like 60 at ultra on 1440p and 47 fps on ultra at 4k.

Nice, i have only played the beta because i am broke and only have a 750 Ti.(i am a college student pursuing a Engineering degree so if anyone want to donate to the cause to end my suffering feel free

)

But during the beta i got 75fps on low or medium. I went o high but i dont remember the FPS. That 1080 Ti FPS just seemed really low to me.

I bought the Division and played for about a week before I got bored and never played again. Way too much grinding and the bullet sponges drove me crazy. Was afraid to pre-order Wildlands, but so glad I did. I already capped out at level 30 and still tons to do. Picked up the Gold edition on Amazon and saved 20% as prime member. Season pass content can't get here soon enough. My favorite weapons are the ACR, MK17, MSR, SR25 and Stoner LMG...depending on mission. Picked up the XBOX One version since most of my friends have one.

I bought the division after playing wildlands. I stopped after 15 minutes or so. Too damn many bullets to kill someone. And WTF is the deal with the smoke/concussion grenade spam? Annoying.

Kind of pissed...

Luckily I didn't lose any saved game files from that last server issue a couple days ago; as I hear some have lost everything. But I did try to sign onto the Mobile game at the same time and when it couldn't connect I went to close it. Got a warning saying if I close now I will have to start the tutorial over. Well I couldn't not shut is down on my phone, so I closed it out. LOST EVERYTHING! Had 4-9k worth of various resources that I can't send to the game now.

Now to decide if it's worth trying to start all over.

It has to be a physical copy. Since all PC games now are just a download code, PC games never get the discount

Ummm...no. Most new big title games are available as code or physical copy. I just checked amazon every game I checked was available as physical copy and had the discount. Last few PC games I purchased (The Division, South Park, Doom, etc. all are physical copies. I dont do downloads unless its a steam super blowout sale.

Logged in to play a bit today and noticed a bug...whenever I click on an intel cache it goes into the animation of my dude pulling out his cell phone to snap some pics, then just stops. The game isn't freezing...it's just not progressing to whatever comes after.

Edited to add: Figured out what is happening - the menu screens aren't popping up. I did an assault on a village to grab a sicario and interrogate him. After grabbing him the usual menu option to knock out or interrogate never came up, but I hit the B button and it interrogated him. Not sure if this is a visual bug, or what.

Edit #2 - Figured it out - the Intel HUD option got somehow toggled off. Turned it back on and all is well.
