Quoted:I just got the XBox One a month or so ago after not having a console or any other type game system since PS3 and Need for Speed - Hot Pursuit
.
I have
Call of Duty - Black Ops III
Gears of War - Ultimate Edition
Tomb Raider - Definitive Edition
I am looking for FPSs, I am not to keen on the multiplayer aspect unless it is cooperative play...
I am considering picking up Battlefield 4 as it has dropped to $30, but it is an older game. I have played maybe 30 minutes of it and like the play.
What'st the consensus on these games or feel free to throw something else out there...
Battlefield 4
Fallout 4
The Division
Destiny
Rainbow Six: Siege
Borderlands
Evolve
Far Cry 4
Homefront: The Revolution
Halo 5

The Battlefield games to me feel kinda gimped on consoles. Still, they're pretty good fun, especially if you've got friends to play with.
I have FO4 on PC, messed around with it a bit but haven't gotten hooked hard like I did with FO3. I dunno why. Like Fallout 3 just took me hostage and wouldn't let me go from the moment I stepped out of the vault, and I personally just don't get that feeling with FO4. I'd say if you played and enjoyed FO3 and New Vegas, give FO4 a try and see if it works for you. It doesn't for me. YMMV.
The Division launched with fanfare, the game looks really good, and the premise behind it is great. Gameplay is kinda lackluster, IMO, and it gets stale quick. Don't get this one if you don't have friends to play it with, IMO. I really wanted this game to do well and be amazing, and it's okay, but I think it could have been so much more. There is a half decent sized group of us that play this on XB1 though.
Destiny is kinda the same. Don't get this one if you don't have friends to play with - but there is a large group of us that play this on XB1 as well. Very grindy, RNG based loot, it's a shooter with some MMO-lite features. Lots of good fun with 6 man PVE events, PVP is kind of in a so-so spot right now, not great, but nowhere near as rough as it was in year one. It's a little harder to start off in Destiny as a year two player, because those of us that have been playing since launch have a surplus of a few specific items used in upgrading some of your weapons and equipment that aren't as easy to find or get in year two, but otherwise, it's an alright game.
Rainbow Six Siege is online multiplayer only, there is no story or campaign if that bothers you. I have this one on PC as well and had a few tense, fun moments with it, but I have a short attention span for games and if it ain't something amazeballs, I lose interest quickly. And that's what happened with me and Siege. Again, YMMV. It is very fun at times.
I never got into Borderlands, I've watched some streams of it and it looks like fun though.
Never played Evolve, Far Cry 4 or Hometown.
I liked the old Halo games, never played Halo 5.
