Been watching a few videos of a guy playing it. Looks scary as shit. Definitely appears to be the spiritual successor to RE4 we've been waiting for.

Well played for a couple hours last night.

I am not a big fan of the third person view, but you get used to it.

So far so good. I plan on playing for a few more hours this weekend.

I'm still debating on whether or not to buy this game. The reviews on Steam were really bad but they are seem to be getting better. The initial posts were mostly related to poor performance issues.

It is very scary, lot's of low light stuff. Zombies who play dead then pop up and grab you when you walk by. Slow movers with creepy clown masks.

So far it's a refined RE game. No bugs, graphics are good.

If Resident Evil and Silent Hill
had a baby, this would be it

Seriously tho, its Scary as hell...and that's coming from someone who
had played the RE, Silent Hill, and Dead Space series.

Like someone already mentioned, lots of dark scenes, scenes changes (a lot)
mostly it makes the player feel "you are not in control of the situation" hence, fear.
Even the casual mode offers very little amount of ammo.
Gameplay, is very similar to RE and Silent Hill, there are rooms
where there are places to hide like a closet, locker etc...
You can upgrade your weapons and abilities by collecting lots of green goo.
That's all I'm gonna say, so as not to have any spoiler alert

Anyone here finish it yet? I'm at the start of act 4 and just curious how much time to set aside to finish things up.

I tend to move slow and creep around a lot. I love that this is a horror game with a stealth aspect.

I played for about 2 hours on the PC. I can only do 15-20 minutes at a time then shut it off. It is boring and makes me want to play Resident Evil instead.

I finished it within the span of 3 days (playing on and off)
Sometimes my kids would jump in to re-play certain chapters so they can have the feel for the game.
But It took us almost 19 hours the first time.
The 2nd time should be quicker, with all the goodies you get after completing the game

half way through the fourth chapter. Boring. I enjoy Resident Evil 6 more than this.
