I was a little hesitant to jump in on this game as every game for the new gen of consoles has been a let down for me. However, I think I am going to throw myself into this one. Xbox1 tag cbr assassins

Since they disabled PSN and XBL linking for clans until launch, I can't tell for sure, but seems pretty close to 50/50 or 60:40 or so. At minimum each side should have 15 folks easy.

Thought about it, but was going to use the poll to tally who wanted who for PSN and XBL admin for stuff. Will do a different thread in a sec though.

If I knew I could dedicate the time I would run the PS4 crew, but my time is limited to a couple of hours durning the weekday. Weekdends it varies since the weather is still good.

I'm curious how the clan stuff is going to work, specifically.

As I posted earlier in the thread, a user can join multiple groups, but can only designate one group as his or her clan.

Which begs all sorts of questions like:

What is the benefit of being in a group?

What is the benefit of have a group specified as your clan?

How often can one switch the designated clan group for another?

etc.

I'm curious to find this stuff out.

I pre ordered the game today right before gamestop closed. I pre ordered advanced warfare as well to get the shader thingy for destiny. I pre ordered both of them for xbox one. I would post my gamertag, but I dont know if I can recover it still. I stopped playing xbox about a year and half - 2 years ago. The account name has my mothers old old phone email from tmobile, and for some reason its only linked to my regular xbox account and not the live version. I have to call Microsoft to sort this stuff out I think.

This is going to sound dumb, but what are those codes for? Are they for ingame unlocks we couldn't normally get?

The codes are for the following:

Grimoire Cards: trading cards with artwork and lore on them to read
Emblems: backgrounds for your character's nameplate
Shaders: color/style dyes for your equipment

Yup, redeem the codes on the bungie site. Some fill in kill cards so you start with the bonuses, others are player icons or shaders.

Okay I will enter those codes on my destiny account. Do i enter the codes before the game and i get my xbox? My destiny account isnt linked with my xbox or Microsoft one. I just dont want to screw things up haha

Link your xbox live account with bungie.net before doing anything. Otherwise you just wasted the codes.

ETA: nvm... you can't actually play until 3am EST according to the Destiny site. Grrrr... I've never heard of an mmo type that didn't try to get the servers live for midnight EST.

For those who are interested. They are reporting the servers are live right now, but only if you have the physical disc. Digital buyers are blocked out by Microsoft and Sony until midnight.

I'm lucky, I'll be off work by 10am tomorrow.

What do I do? I'm the guy that gets all the packages off the truck and brings them up front for will call in the morning at my UPS hub. So I'll just grab my order off the truck in the morning, no waiting until the guy would normally get to my house at 3.

I'll be plugged in and installing by 11, and ready to rock for 8 hours after taking the pup to the park to wear him out.

Tomorrow will be a good day. I will be kicking ass by noon.

So once the game goes live, and we chose our game system platform, will we be automatically enlisted in the ARFCOM Clan?

Once the game goes live and you have created a character, log back in to bungie.net.

Click on the "groups" link.

Click on the group you wish to designate as your clan.

Once viewing the group's home page. There will be a link underneath the name which will say something along the lines of "Set as clan." Click it.

You can be a member of multiple groups. Only one group can be designated as your clan.

I am not getting a console until this friday unfortunately. My parents are pretty late on my 18th birthday present haha. I think I might go to the midnight release and buy a console, get a free game, get a 1 year live card. Theyll just pay me back.
