My weight is slowly ticking up. Half an ounce at a time. I've only been eating around 2800 calories a day because I was scared of becoming the dreaded skinny fat, and also I just had a hard time eating that much. I wasn't used to that volume of food. I've definitely gotten stronger. Im doing 3 sets of 5 pushups with an extra 15 pounds. 5 diamond pushups, 3 65 pound squats (I don't have a squat bar, and the log I'm using is so thick it's really uncomfortable to hold in the traditional squat form, so I'm doing the squat where you hold it in the crook of your arms. I think its called a zercher squat or something like that) 5 pull ups, 5 chin ups and 3 more squats. My goal is by the end of next week have added 2-3 reps to everything. I'm also gonna try to incorporate military presses in somewhere. I'm also bumping my calorie intake to 3k minimum, ideal around 3100-3200. I'm ready to be pounds heavier instead of ounces when I weigh every two weeks.

I am a chubby worthless whore.
I hired a diet coach who is well known and has an impressive list of clients who have been successful. I will start my diet plan with her in two weeks, after I get back from spring break. I had my initial meeting with her yesterday, and I will go in for weekly measurements and weigh ins, diet adjustments when needed, etc. A friend has been using her for 3 weeks and his results have been pretty impressive. |

I give up on this keto bullshit.
I've struggled to stay on it. I have been a nazi with carbs, keeping them under 15g. I struggle to find something to eat when the family goes out. I fought it for 3 weeks, then dropped from 232 to 224. After another 2 weeks I'm back up to 228. It's not muscle because I hurt my hip and I've only been swimming for a week and a half. This bullshit just does not work for me. So I'm back to square one with a diet plan. And I'm more pissed off and frustrated than I was before. |

My wife plateaued with keto and has been stuck for several weeks. We started adding more carbs to her diet and she has started loosing again.....might adjust your carb intake a bit? I am still loosing with the keto diet (3.5 lbs a week). I have done very little exercise besides push ups and fast walking. View Quote I'm gaining weight every day on this crap. And I hate it. I'm going back to low fat, low sugar. Flame me if you want, but keto didn't F***ing work for me. |

Do you drink at all? If so, quit altogether. Your body will not metabolize fat until it has metabolized the alcohol.

I posted all of the details in the keto thread.
This just didn't work for me. I'm going to try something else. This is too frustrating, and since I'm married I have enough frustration in my life. |

I've finally decided on a end weigh goal. I'm shooting for 150-160 right now. This winter the college I'll be going to is gonna be within driving distance of a MMA school. I've always loved martial arts. I took tae kwon do for several years but it just got to the point I was dreading class days because it was so boring. So I got a job instead. I'm hoping I'll be at my goal weight by June or July, then I'll really start focusing on cardio to get ready for hopefully MMA classes.

Forgot about this thread, things have been fucking nuts at work. Recommitted to my fitness progress this week and I'm down to 266lbs, which is an overall loss of 8 or so lbs since I started. Have been going to they gym every morning for the last couple days this week, and am feeling really good. Cut soda, junk food and caffeine. Drinking nothing but water. Also started a multi-vitamin. Next step is more comprehensive meal planning.

Down 42 lbs total.
186 this morning. Progress has slowed in the last week. Going to work harder. My back fat and lower abdominal fat is loosening up now (it has been somewhat hard). |
