In water or oil?
I eat a lot of fat with the DIAbeetus so I'm leaning for in oil to help boost calories. |
|
You can't eat them without Ritz crackers and cholula or tabasco sauce.

About $2-3 as much as the cheap brand. They are just for my days off (4 days a weak). That way I won't accost people at work. |

Sardines are great. I like the ones in oil, but I'll eat either kind. Smoked herring is good too.
|
|
Kippers are amazing.
Seriously. Sardines... They're good fish. Need loads of hot sauce. And eating spines n fins creeps me the fuck out. |
|
I prefer pickled herring (being Polish).
Test to see which has less impact on your gut. The oil ones may give you the runs. |

View Quote Either, but if you're eating them in oil, make sure it's olive oil, not cottonseed or some other junk, refined oil. Costco has some really good olive oil packed sardines. They are skinless/boneless, so you don't get the calcium benefit, but their taste is, umm, less strong than some of the stuff in the grocery store. |

Several for less than $2/box on Amazon

I stopped at the store this morning and got some kippers, boneless skinless sardines in olive oil and the fancy in olive oil sardines too.
May have to shop on Amazon... Will check out Costco later, got to get some bully sticks for the dog too. |

Canned tuna is gross and overcooked. I like fresh fish the best, but that's not easy to come by for a reasonable price in Ohio. Canned sardines on a salad makes a great lunch. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
