The fun thing is that if you are really getting your work in on this program, you should be getting DOMS regularly.
I know I get it after heavy squat and dead lift days, not so much on my bench and overhead press days. And you have reminded me that I need to add a foam roller into my repertoire. |

Uh oh... I just figured out I can do a kind of awkward unassisted dip in my chair at work.
I've never actually done dips before on any sort of regular basis. This could get ugly. Or I might just break my chair. |

Before then, I always did my own thing in the gym and my workouts were more bodybuilding style. 531 is my first real "routine". So, I had a good foundation to start with. and I reset my numbers in August to reflect what I got at my meet on July 31. I slowed down squats this month by only adding 5lbs instead of 10lbs since I felt like progress there is slowing down and I don't wanna reset back a couple months yet. |

This week I upped the accessory lifts to 60% of max on everthing except deads. I LIKE it. I will probably have to drop them back down when the main lifts get harder but for now it feels great.
I hit 8-10 reps(5 rep req.) on the last sets this week and the girlfriend told me my back is looking awesome. |

OH GOD!
That HAD to suck. I think I have three blender bottles at this point- one I carry with my constantly for protein and water, preworkout, etc, and a pair of reserves in the kitchen. And thankfully, our house is one story so, save for the steps up the back and front porches, no stairs for me. Tonight is squat night for me, think I may go with some BBB and do a 5x10 as well. |

Yeah, I have 3 cups but, 1 is a pos and the other 2 were both upstairs. DOMS are nearly non-existent today. Probably cuz of the 150g of protein and several servings of aminos I had last night. Xtend ftw

I've heard very good things about it, but haven't tried it myself. Aminos are always good for recovery.

I think it helps. I got a butt ton of Xtend on sale for cheap since they update to version 2 a little while ago so I've been using a lot of it. I'm a pretty big fan of glutamine too. Both seem to help with DOMS.

I will check it out. The protein powder I'm on has BCAAs in it although I'm not sure how much of what kind, I always figured they where snake oil so I never checked into it.
My recovery time is dildos so maybe some magic potion will help me out |

I went by the local tonic and elixir shop last night and picked up some Xtend. It was $22 so even if it doesn't help I'm not out to much.

The way I usually use Xtend is as a way to make hydration easier (since blue rasp is so delicious) and as an intra-workout. Otherwise I have trouble force feeding myself enough water for the day.
