Too late to get you to move to Idaho? Texas will be a blue state in 3 to 4 years. Ida-who? Texas could eat ya'll for breakfast. They made the right choice. Welcome to TEXAS. |

Hmmm someone mentioned a going away party....
Heh, throw one and invite as many LEO and such as possible then make sure the music is up really loud so some dork will call the cops. it would be a funny thing at least to me it would. |

I was looking forward to going to the store locally. What will become of it? Store will be up for sale... Quoted: Any idea of where in Texas ya'll be moving to? It is a big state. Somewhere near Dallas would be ideal. Dallas Area- probably spread anywhere from Rockwall to Canton. Uhh, I'm sure you know this but that's awfully close to TRG... |

Welcome to the free state of Texas.
Look forward to your support and where do I send my resume..... Jerry |

Welcome! Don't forget Central Texas when you get settled in. Alamo, State Capital, beautiful landscapes and hills (i.e. "Hill Country"), that sort of thing.
Best of luck with the move, let me know if you need some colocation space in area. Wifes company is building out a new facility in the area, they are conservative owned and a 2A supporter.

We're looking forward to you getting settled into Tx! I have my suspicions as to your choice of location... I hope I'm right.
FWIW, if I didn't have kids, I'd buy lakefront property on Cedar Creek Reservoir - it's one of the few lakes in Tx that doesn't fall under USACOE control.. |

Ya know WI isn't all that different from NY weather wise, probably actiually a lot nicer since we don't get hammered with those monster storms like they do on the east coast. and plenty of fishing and hunting here too. I love Wisconsin, its my home as well, but with liberal cities like Madison and Milwaukee on the edge of taking permanent control of the state elections, I wouldn't risk moving a business to Wisconsin right now. Unless something changes, Wisconsin is going to go hardcore socialist in the next few election cycles and the state will become hostile to everything that represents old American values and culture. The move to Texas is a safe one, and they need as many liberty minded people as possible to move there. Good luck with the move to Texas guys. |

just want to thanks for staying and sticking out our fight in NEW YORK !!!!!!!!! Sir, I want you to know that economic sanctions (as they are known in politics) are another way of fighting the government of NY. That includes not earning $$ here, to avoid giving them $$ with our state's bloated income tax rates, not supporting them with sales tax, not paying property tax, etc. When they have less productive people than members of the FSA, the FSA will pressure them for more free stuff and will collapse their sand castle We are doing that while remaining in the legal fight against the state with the lawsuit headed by the NYSRPA. On the physical front, I remain in NYS as their representative in opposing the SAFE Act .....................among other things. As you probably know, the so called "Arab Spring" was started -allegedly- by the burning self immolation of a street vendor fed-up with Tunisia's government. The Buddhist monks did this in very same thing in Vietnam in the 60's with some success in getting the people's attention to their protests. I am NOT in favor of this action because I can't stand the smell of burnt flesh, especially my own, but if there is any other way of effectively protesting the government's SAFE act, you can count on me. Let the site try to do it's share in the economic and the ethic fronts by not being based in a state that deprives its citizens of their freedom and our God-given Second Amendment rights!. https://www.google.com/search?q=burning+monk+self+immolation+1963&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=kby&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=I3lfUbTcI-ja0QGm9YGABQ&ved=0CDoQsAQ&biw=1680&bih=906#imgrc=QaoBON8YIaG_KM%3A%3BcZs8_kzVxQ_FvM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252F1dunia.net%252FKingTirtoWPBlog%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F2011%252F10%252FFI_Self_Immolation.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252F1dunia.net%252F2011%252F10%252Fthe-saigon-execution%252F%3B958%3B340 |

I wish you guys the best !! Right now I Have no money to get any of the guns to help out.
I still have my daughter and her husband with my three grandchildren living with me till they can get back on their feet. I hate it that any state is going this way as New York. But the reason we have never been invaded is because they are scared that there is a gun behind every blade of grass. Well they are taking care of that by some how influencing how all these laws are coming about. If they can get New York and California to ban all guns they can come inland with out much resistance from us. So I think they have infiltrated into the US and are taking over from the inside !! (Sound Familiar ?) Now Russia and China can hit from both sides. O well enough of that !!! Good Luck with the Move !! Wish you were coming to Florida (SW That is ) You could sip margaritas on the beach ! Instead of flipping cow chips. GATOR ! |

As an unfortunate and jealous New Yorker I completely understand your move out of this insane state. I'm sure when I get a chance I will follow but it won't be soon enough. I wish you the best of luck in your move and all you do. My only wish for New York is that every gun owner would also move out the state and leave the liberal pieces of crap to wallow in the mess they make.
God Bless you, John |
i made the move from NY to Dallas back in 2010 - you will LOVE it down here! Keep posting updates and let us know if you need any assistance - Rockwall is less than an hour from downtown, happy to help.
Just make sure you wipe off any blue and flush it down the toilet before you come down here.
Ed, if you ever get over to this side of the Gulf, I will buy the first round. |
Don't forget to take a look at Dallas' less liberal neighbor, Ft Worth. Town of the Cow. Cowtown. Where the West begins.Tarrant County is the place to be. We have the same number of pro sport teams as Dallas County. The Dallas Cowboys hated Dallas so much they left the county for greener pastures.

When it all hits the fan, let's all move to TX. and start a new country.

Serves NY right, they should of known better that they will lose tons of tax dollars!

Proud to call north Fort Worth home. Two ranges less than 10 minutes from the house.

Texas is a good choice...
BUT Don't forget about Waco... Your not safe anywhere... |
Welcome and I hope you continue to prosper here in Texas.
Although I am banned for life it seems, from the EE, I hope you're able to sell everything that won't fit in the wagon and get here safely. Good luck! |
I live across the lake from Rockwall in Rowlett. Rockwall has a great little down town. Lots of nice places to live in the area. And Dallas is only 20-25 minutes away without traffic. Lake Ray Hubbard is decent, for Texas anyhow. There r a few good ranges out this way. Rockwall and Heath have very good schools, if that kinda thing matters to ya. East Texas is pretty nice for outdoor stuff. Just a little bit hot, but you kinda get used to it. Anyhow, be happy to help if you need anything when you get out this way.

Yeah, yeah, glad to hear it!! Get the hell out of those places that don't appreciate nor embrace this sport.......Texas is great and a great place to be, Good Luck!! |

Gov Perry is seriously courting business from California, NY, and Chicago, but has extended a special offer for firearms manufactures.
Maybe you should contact his office and see if there are any tax abatement and relocation visit money available for non-manufacturing companies that support the 2nd ammendment. They have quite a war chest of $$$ that is privately funded, but his office administers. Welcome to the state; We'd love to have you in the Dallas / Ft Worth area, but San Antonio is real attractive right now for folks that sell high dollar toys. San Antonio is the closest big city to a lot of the oil/gas boom in South Texas...folks got money to spent!!! San Marco is a nice area and faily clost to both San Antonio and Austin.... but Austin is getting to liberal for many. |

Welcome to Texas. Glad to have you. The reason you are moving sucks, but glad to have you nonetheless.

I'm leaving a job and house in Vermont to get away to Texas!
Athens area looks like a good place to be. It will be nice to have so many pro 2nd supporters together in what may be a state of refuge. I agree, Dallas is too congested, Canton can get busy each month but they may become interested in firearms related products also. Athens is just down the road from there. |
Best of luck Ed.
if I live long enough for retirement it's back to Kentucky for me. take care, best wishes. kevin |
I am in the DFW area and I would love to be part of your team if you have any open employment opportunities after you get settled in.
You are very welcome to Texas! I too live and work in Dallas. As an executive and business operator it is an excellent place for growth.
If you need any assistance in your move just let me know. |
Thanks to all for all the kinds words, offers, and support.
It will take a while for the whole operation to move down (meaning 6-12 months) so we will not be doing a retail location any time before that. We will however begin transitioning some parts of the business as early as June, but first course of action is to get the whole team moved. Hopefully we'll get some chances to meet many of you during that time. Step two will be finding what/where/when to open something, but it will not be before 2014 (remember we still have properties up here to sell). |
Was Texas the only place you considered when you concluded that you had to leave NY?
