As stated above I'm looking for a thread protector for my 308.  5/8x24 and 0.98" OD.
I currently have a PWS/PRC, looks cool but it's a bit offensive.
Any help finding a vendor would be greatly appreciated.

This guy is local to me and does pretty good work.  They machine a lot of stuff in house and do thread protectors as well out of Aluminum.  See their reasoning here in their video:  https://youtu.be/kXetD0GAjOk?t=286
