Is it out dated? Only suited to more of a High Power style of shooting. Versus improvised positions.

I run a sling, no bipod. I just got one of these to try out. Used a 1907, and magpul also. So we'll see.

I keep one in my range bag.  Great for prone unsupported stuff.

much as i love slings, i don't even carry one in my pack anymore, much less keep one on the rifle.  their time has come and gone

I have a TIS sling, hate it...  much better options out there now..  I agree, don't use a sling much anymore anyway

I ran one with the Savage 10FP I gave to my son, worked pretty well for offhand stuff. I don't run it with the bullpup though.
