Mister_Donut, love the Cadex chassis... just built one for myself in .338 excelent fit and finish on them!
On the tan action, who made the action? |

[#5]
Those are some disgustingly awesome rigs you two have but id hate to see your reloading costs ... powder for a 338 and 50 how many rounds eat up a pound of powder not to mention the cost of bullets

It's their LRT-3 and an absolute pleasure to shoot: View Quote Very nice, I went with a Stiller action for my .338, only 100 rounds through it so far, but I'm enjoying it for sure. I am still debating if I want to get an action and build a .50 Sadly you only get roughly 70 rounds per Lb of powder with the .338, but spotting for yourself becomes a lot less challenging, and wind calls in tricky mountain area's become less challenging as well. |

Once I've attached the bipod, there was zero play, it was rock solid. I bought (3x) 5rnd Magpul PMag AC L (magnum). What's interesting is the yellow follower has just enough room to put in a 6th round. If it's gray (mag that came with the magwell/trigger guard combo), it's strictly 5rnds. The mags normally fit 300 win mag, but it also fits 30-06. I have quick-cycled multiple rounds with zero feeding/ejecting issues. Big plus: it's a hell of a lot cheaper ($32/ea from Midway USA) than the AICS mags ($100). The mags are made using M3 tech, they feel solid and durable. ETA: I got the mags on sale. Avg price is $40, still cheaper than AICS. |

Got my MK6 back from Leupold. They replaced the broken erector and elevation adjustment bits. No clue what caused the failure but it's fixed now. Might explain the lousy groups I was getting with my SCAR recently. For now it will live on my TRG-22.

Not sure what yet...but it will likely be a bolt action as I'm chasing accuracy (although an m82A1 would also be fun). That PGW LRT-3 on this page has me drooling, but I'm not even sure if availability in the US. May have to consider a Windrunner. Pic thread...so here's the TRG-42 again. Shot an Aoudad from here at 371yds and a 35-40* downward angle. Sheep were just over my right shoulder in the canyon below. |
