Just purchased a 300 win mag. What loads is every using for 1000yd shooting. What bullets, weight, brass and powder. This is a rem 700 long range.

I think berger 215/230's, H1000 are pretty common. Throw it in some lapua brass and some CCI primers or the like.

i've not seen Lapua 300WM brass.. anywhere.
i am using Nosler, brass hornady 208 AMP. h1000 powder i am still working up my loads but i am currently using 75 grains and through my ultra 7 suppressor i have an AV Speed of 2787 |

After looking around what about the hornady ELD 208gr. Seemed to have the best BC for the buck. I just have a budget and at half the price of Bergers. I think I'll go with nosler brass.

I've been very happy with Nosker brass, it's completely ready to go, and comes in a nice box
I purchased some hornady WM brass from a local reloading store it came in a plastic bag with NO information about the brass what so ever. I haven't seen hornady brass like that since so I don't know if I was ripped off.. it is all stamped hornady at least

210 Berger VLD, H1000, Federal 215M
I tried 215 grain VLDs with dismal results, but plan to try 230s soon. |

I'm still testing but so far I've seen good results with 200gr hornady ELD-X and 77.0gr H1000 seated .02 off lands....hornady brass.
4-shot groups are 0.7"-0.8" @ 200yds running 2890fps out of a bartlein 23" 10 twist. I've read these bullets shoot better with more jump. Can anyone confirm that? |

Remington 700 long range 300win mag Burris xtr ll 5-25x50 mil scr scope Timney 510 trigger Looking at rings and bases. Any issue with using aluminum over steel on a 300 win mag? |
