Turns out I have plans already that weekend. However it will be in the area, is it possible to come spectate?

Yeah you should be able to spectate but that match is split into two different parts of the Peacemaker property. The one part is right at the main area but the other is at the Frontier range which is a little drive down the road. Definitely get a hold of the match director to check.
