I was wondering if you guys could share some insights based on this target. I didin't have a chrono as this was shot at a 100 yd indoor range. There were no pressure signs at 43 and my instincts are to work around that range and see what the best upper node is. This is the first firing of the new small primer lapua brass.

For those that are still skeptical about 6.5 vs 308, I have never had a load workup in a high BC 308 bullet where EVERY group was good I think if I overlaid these it might be a 30 shot sub moa group!

Lapua Brass
140 Hornady ELD
2.825 COAL
Tikka CTR

What speeds are you getting with that?

I would say you have promising nodes at 41.5 and 43

However:

If you have access to a good chrono this is the method many are recommending to quickly find a node to develop:

10 Round Load Development

The guy in the video considers a 5fps SD a bit sloppy, but suitable for practice/plinking rounds heh.

You will find other threads here on Arfcom with same recommendations and details.

Takes the shooter and group size out of the equation and focuses on finding a small SD node with chrono data.

YMMV
