I was given a couple boxes of these and would like to try them out.

Looking for input on loading 185 grain Juggernauts with Varget.

I have Hornady cases and CCI primers.

Rifle is a Tikka T3x CTR .308  20" barrel 1-11 twist

What brass? It makes a huge difference when loading .308.

Check out www.accurateshooter.com forum. They have a lot of long range discussions using that bullet.

The left side of their website has a .308 dedicated link. I'm thinking Varget, VihtaVuori N150 and RE-15 would be good powder choices.

You really need Winchester or Lapua brass for long range ammo. The Winchester has the largest internal capacity, the Lapua can withstand the highest pressures.

I'm not sure, but I think Hornady contracts with Winchester to manufacture their brass.

Weigh the unprimed cases and report what they weigh.

Sorry I don't use Varget.

My load was 41.7gr AA2230, LC brass, Fed210m, 2.840"

2550-2600fps from my 20" 1:12 twist.

Try some PP2000MR, you can really make them move with it. Work up and you will be amazed, good thumpers.

Hornady is making brass in house.
At one time it subbed out to Rem and Win.
It used to be on the back of Graf catalogs....one headstamp ie Frontier was Rem and one was Hornady was Win. or vice versa.
