After years of avoiding bow hunting I finally got the itch.

In the end after much deliberation I went with a Hoyt Spyder 30 for $650. I have had plenty of shoulder problems so I chose a 65lb weight. My draw is 29. Granted this is my first bow so I cant compare it to all the others. I looked at mathews and bowtech but this one just felt right.

I went with a FUSE Helix 5 pin sight and a T.R.U ball Short N Sweet S2 release. My drop away is a QAD Ultra Rest HDX.

I am currently working on building a target stand with small roof for my new 75 yard range. Looks like I will be putting in for archery this fall!!!

Ill get some pics up later. So far I am loving this bow!

Congrats!!!!! When I first got into archery, the Hoyt just felt right to me too. Since then I've been a Hoyt fan boy. Welcome to another hobby that doesn't get cheaper with time!!!

Nice!

I just picked up a Hoyte Charger this morning.

Last bow I owned/shot was a Golden Eagle back in the 90s that maybe shot near 200 fps @ 28"/70lb.

Some things sure have changed for the better!
