Ordered this 40# bow from Cabelas because I got $50 off the regular price. This is a very basic bow but I need to start somewhere. I will need to get a bow string, arrows and field tips at a minimum. I will probably buy the Victory Decimator arrows from Dicks for $29 just to start with. This will just be used for target shooting.

Shot this today in the yard for the first time. I am using Cabelas X-treme arrows 45/60 with 100 gr field tips. My target is a Hurricane. At 30 feet, I shot most arrows into the target. A few missed off to the right side. This is definitely fun and I'll keep challenging myself and moving back from the target over time.
