Shot the longbow some today and I'm quite happy with it. I had originally purchased the materials years ago when I tried my first horsebow build "ended badly" and finally got around to gluing it up a few weeks ago. I made many mistakes but it shoots very nice with no handshock at all and has a surprising amount of speed for the draw weight. Clear fiberglass on the belly and back of the bow. I think it has ash laminates and a cocobolla riser. I forgot what wood it is since its been so long since I purchased it, the riser started out as a 1.5x1.5x18 inch block of wood. Total time was about 6 hours from making the form to finished product. Thats not counting the dry time on the tung oil I used to finish the riser and coat the edges. Draw weight is 20lbs at 28".
