I am new to crossbows and would like to own one.  i have had my eye on the barnett jackal.  seems to have the best reviews for a corssbow in this price range..  tell me about the pros and cons, http://www.amazon.com/Barnett-Jackal-Crossbow-Package-Quiver/dp/B004IJ1Q1Q/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1332646146&sr=1-2
what is involved to keep a crossbow properly maintained? wil i have to replace parts on a regular basis?  i have read that the string needs to be waxed after every 5 shots.
does bolt and arrow mean the same thing? are arrows (or bolts) on avg $35 for 5 (as  ihave seen on amazon) or can i get a better price?

good unit for a beginner, and many have taken game with them.  most name brand modern crossbows are gtg.  i'll tell you, i've hunted with them from the 500 range to the 1400 range, and i really can't tell the difference in how dead the animal is.  quality bolts and broadheads make all the difference
