It seems the Fiocchi 12 Gauge dummy rounds have been infinitely unavailable. So, I purchased some of Brownells 12 Gauge dummy rounds. Here is a photo of them for anyone who is curious about them. They seem to be well made.

not too hard to make if you reload shot shells....I made some for reloading practice... used a hull color (green) that I do not use any more... cut off the petals and used the base of a wad, and reversed it (a little trial and modification was needed to get the correct installed height to represent the powder charge) and a standard shot load on top...a little extra deep crimp helps to keep from loosening with repeated use... I store these in a dedicated container

Is weight comparable to live shotgun shells? I've almost completely worn my carbonarms ones down.

typical powder charge is around 18 grains for 1oz shot.... about .04 ounce

I modified shells, then bought the brownells white dummies,they work great.

In the OP's picture it shows a pack of 25, yet I can't seem to find them on Brownells. Are they only doing 2 packs now?

May have to try these.
I made my own using empty hulls and some 3/4 wood dowel and bb's. After a few practice sessions the brass was all mangled and dented up to the point they wouldn't function any more. |
