Looking for some ideas, and possibly folks to post some pics of their 1301 with mag extension.

I picked up a new 1301 with 24" barrel and am looking to see what mag extensions people are using out there.

I may run some slightly extended chokes for clays, but not sure yet. Any ideas are appreciated. The more pics the better please and thanks!

Also if anyone has maximized the mag size by adding shortened followers or other tips, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

I have close to 10 different Nordic Components tube extensions for 4 different shotguns. Never an issue.

I also have tried Xrail single tubes, but because the tubes can be changed between the guns as long as the collar matches the gun type and those +2 extension add-ons can be useful, so that is why I prefer Nordic Components stuff.

Thanks! I was looking at Nordic. Somewhere Beretta probably makes one, but I'd rather have something that works flawlessly.

This is the Nordic on a 24" 1301.  With extended choke tubes it is about flush.  It will take 10 so its a plus 5 I think.

Perfect, thanks!

My parts came in, and now I'm just wondering where to start with the Nordic spring and follower vs. stock.

They say start with 16" past the end of the tube with their spring, but I also see people reusing stock springs on some shorter extensions, and also some using the Nordic spring clipped to 12" past the end of the tube.

I see that the stock plastic tube cap which underlies the old Beretta barrel nut is basically expected to be tossed aside...they knew these would have extensions added for sure.

** Any advice for those that have 1301's and Nordics components on trimming the spring length to avoid feed issues? **

Thanks, Dave

I first trimmed it to their recommendations.  Then I started clipping to reduce loading pressure until the last shell does not have much pressure at all on it when feeding.  No problems so far.  I did buy a new one as insurance, just in case.

Thanks! I started at 12" past extension, and right away started trimming. Still seems a bit harsh.

Will find the failure point and add an inch to a newly clipped spring and see how that goes I think.

Anyone change the from sight bead out for something more high vis yet?

I just snapped a magnetic HiViz on there.

I have two MXT tubes now.  One holds 10 rounds and the other holds 14 rounds.   My 1301 has a 24" barrel.
