Do you know what cell carrier it operates on? I have some areas that are only covered by Verizon and some that are only covered by AT&T.

The specs show that the camera has a SIM card, which means that Verizon would be a no-go.

A boar will take over the feeder area. Smoke him and you will get others coming in.
I had a big boar that took over. Had three feeders around that blind. no other hogs came in. Should have let him be. Smoked him. A herd came in and we kept knocking them out, then the more we shot the more showed up. We would kill two or three every week and never ran out of hogs most all year. |

That's one heck of a HD feeder. Don't have to worry about coons or squirrels from the looks of it. We have to hang outs where the feeder head is at least 9' to keep the Bears from wrecking them.

I have a Bushnell and your pic's blow it away! Mine is not the cellular camera. How fast does the picture get to you from the time it is sent?

I get those on my cameras from time to time also. I always wonder what they are. I have had a couple of spooky pics...just write them off a out of focus....other words I would be scared to walk to my stand...lol. Cool pics. |

The pic was a ghost image of the pig in the picture just before it running by the cam.
I want a streaming wed cam, but I would have to stream in on cellular. |

Is yours the newer 3G AT&T version? I have lithium AAs in it and I also have it connected to a external battery and solar panel. It's been out for about a year and I haven't had to replace any batteries. The battery level indicator on all the pictures is always at max. The only issue that I have had is it sometimes has to be reset (turned off, then back on). I usually know it needs to be reset when I send it a message to send a picture and it doesn't send one. When this occurs it still sends pictures that are captured by the motion detector, just not when I request one. I took it down a couple of weeks ago to move it to another spot but I haven't had time to put it back out. I use it at a location that is an hours drive from my house. It has paid for itself by not having to drive a two hour round trip every time I want to check my pictures. |

My deer/ bear/ hog lease is almost 3 hours from my house, and about 45 minutes from our cabin in absolute BFE Arkansas. The cell companies put up a tower about 6 months ago, but evidently got into a squabble after the tower was erected, and there still aren't any antennas on it. Several providers went in together to build it, and were supposed to share it, but they aren't playing nice together. Once they get their collective asses in gear, we'll be investing in a few of these. Have you put it up in places with spotty AT&T coverage? I'm trying to compare it to a cell phone- will it send pics from a location where a cell is getting one bar, or does it need 2, 3, etc., bars? |
