We need details!! The jealousy is epic at the moment.  I'm not a big fan of heights but I'd hang my butt of helicopter for that kind of fun!

Shooting hogs with a shotgun from a helicopter is like reverse skeet shooting.

Sorry for the lack of info. This particular hunt was free for me as I have qualified to participate in such activities with this group. It is an organization that helps to put some current and former military members to use in killing hogs for the state of Texas. Once you meet their standards and qualify to shoot at an acceptable rate from the helicopter, you can get paid to do this!

I don't know much on the specifics on the shotgun, it was a loaner that was being used that evening. The battery died and was just replaced, so that may have played a part in some of his shots.
I was using my cheapo ar15 that I built for about $400, so yes you are allowed to use your own weapon, so long as you can attach a decent brass catcher or deflector to it so that noting goes towards the blades. It's just a plain jane 5.56 that I was shooting cheap herters .223 out of. This was on my bucket list and now I've gotten to do it about 3 times now! Thanks for the comments so far!
