Did a little test to show you all what hogs and other animals hear from suppressed rifles, I did hits and misses.  This shows you even with the quietest subsonic caliber a hit is loud enough to send the other hogs running.  Even though suppressors are not movie quiet and you can not take out an entire sounder without them knowing they are still very advantageous to the hunter.  Suppressors will save your hearing and it is much more enjoyable to hunt with others using them.  Hogs will not know which way the shots are coming from and will run from the bullet impacts giving you more shots, I am able to steer the sounder into the open many times.  Here is the video enjoy hope it helps someone understand suppressors better.

About 5 yards from the one behind me and 65-75 yards from the target camera.

Nice representation there. Seemed like the 45 moved more meat on the hits.

Cameras and mics are not very good at representing the loudness due too AGC, but do a good job reproducing the quality of the sound.

Any shooter will be able to extrapolate a reasonable idea.

Interesting. Maybe a db meter up range and down range next time cheap and informative.

Nice rifle collection. You gonna eat those pork chops? Holy pork chops.

Thanks bro.

Nice work.  It's hard to explain that to people who think they are going to decimate a sounder one by one once they get their suppressor.  Hitting a pig with a 220 gr subsonic 300blk is about as loud as whacking your tire with a baseball bat. The other pigs are going yo hear it, not to mention the squeeling piggy too. There is truth in your statement about the group's reaction to the report or impact when shooting suppressed, as they tend to flee in several directions when they are first subjected to the suppressed fire. I've found that once you have put pressure on an individual sounder a few times, they will head straight for a known escape route or entrance to cover immediately after hearing the first shot. They're damn smart animals and not nearly as easy to kill as some would expect.

Great job on the video!
