I went up to Georgia to set up a shooting house with a buddy. We both decided if we were going to hunt we were only going to use bows. When that didn't work out we had two rifles my M1A and his wife's youth model savage 7mm-08. He really wanted to use my M1A so i thought why not. Well this was the result of a 7mm-08 hornady superformance 139gr sst. It really shocked me and i thing i might want one now.

And here's the shooting house we built.

Very nice.  Them houses are missing something though.  A big red 6 on the side.  We'll leave the light on for you.

Nice shooting too.

The .308 based cartridges are plenty sufficient in almost all of Georgia.  Good shot.

7-08 is a great round.

7-08 is one of my favorites. Lots of high BC 7mm bullets, low recoil, and light rifles make for a nice combo.

The 7mm-08 will take care of a lot of critters.  I know it's resulted with many happy deer hunters around our area.

Nice! I've settled on a dual load of 120 grain Barnes TTSX & 120 grain Nosler 120 Ballistic tips. Near identical POI. They cover a lot of bases & both have been deadly on hogs and deer.

That shooting house has got to be hot sitting in that GA sun.

7mm08 is my favorite as well... Have one bolt gun in that and looking to get another in something more youth model friendly.

Still kicking myself for not jumping on a Rock River 308 lower a while back.  I really wanted to build an AR708 for fun

Maybe some day I will get around to it.
