Here's a half mount from my son's hunt last year. Not too nuts about the purple color in the nose but otherwise it's a pretty nice mount.

I'm going to bump and tag this out of interest. I'm going to be doing my first bear hunt next March, draw permitting, and would like ideas also. Although, money is rather tight so I may just be keeping the hide and skull. We'll see though.

Looks good! He's eternally squinting to give you dirty looks for shooting him. Each time you enter the room, he's giving you the ol' hairy eyeball.

Wow, cool chest marking on that bear dllshoots.

Newbie here, to the forum and to bear hunting.......Had this mount done last year on my 400 lb MN bear.  Took a chance on a new young taxidermist and wasn't disappointed.  Pic was taken while it was still in his shop.

WOW awesome bear dood    Looks like a trophy head to me...I love the V and pose for your full mount. Did you have the skull scored?

Haven't had it officially scored yet, but by my measurements, he makes the MN record book.

Taxidermist just called a couple days ago to let me know the rug from my 13 year olds bear is done.  Paying this guy a lot of money this year.

Just had the head mounted. The coat was very thin and rubbed in alot of places. Wouldn't have made a good rug.
