That should be good but I can't claim any personal experience.I would think even #6 shot would work in a 3" load and tight choke.Fox are pretty small and lightweight.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I ended up getting Winchester Long Beard XR 12g 3" 4 shot, and through the heavy shot choke, I would say it should be quite deadly at up to 50 yards on a fox. Hopefully the pelt isn't too destroyed.
