I went for a quick hunting trip to find a deer since the weather forecast was incredible for early winter - and found one! Featuring ice, deer, and an impressively useless cameraman. This was my first kill with the 147gr ELD-M out of my .260, and I am impressed so far.

Thanks! It's a Sako 85 Finnlight in .260Rem, with 19.4" barrel, custom 20moa rail, Bradley BUL cheekrest, and Schmidt and Bender PMII 3-12x50. I've had it about 2.5 years now.

Wow, great video and amazing scenery.
Just curious...how hard or easy is it to purchase a suppressor in NZL?

Thanks! They're totally unrestricted, much the same as buying a tomato.

Painful! You have some advantages over us though, we can't have a rifle of less than 762mm overall length (about 30 inches) although there are no barrel length limits, and we're only allowed to shoot pistols on legally approved pistol ranges - no CCW etc.

We have that 26" and 16" barrel for rifles.  I do have a CHP and carry a Glock 42.

Are you shooting .260 Remington or 6.5 Creed?

Sweet video OP.  Beautiful scenery.  Nice rig.  Of course you know this means we'll be expecting a kill it and grill it dinner pic.

260 Rem. Sako don't make the 85 in a 6.5CM or I'd probably have gone with it instead.

This one's all gone and I've been a bit busy to film, but more cooking films are on the cards shortly
