Never used one. I figure that as soon as I had the rifle secured, a huge buck would walk by...... So, I keep it in my hands, ready to shoulder.

I use one on my climber stand. It works just fine.

I use shooting sticks as a rear support and the cross bar (or window) in a stand as a front support. I would hate to miss a great opportunity, pun intended.

No. I hold the firearm on my lap or hang it on a hook on the tree when I want my hands free.

Hook screwed into the tree. My friend fabricated one for his tree lounge.
