This is just behind my house, it's not a stand it's a pole barn that will keep you dry and break the cold north wind. Yes that is a shooting bench my muzzle loader is sitting on.

Sunrise this morn just after 7 AM in the Arkansas Ozarks. Temp was 25°. http://photos.imageevent.com/brobert/bobdeer2002/websize/stand-1.jpg At 9:43 AM I had a doe step out at 117 yards according to my laser rangefinder. A handloaded 165 grain Hornady SST over H4895 at 2690 FPS from the Armalite AR10 sealed the deal. She's the dark spot at the point of the arrow. http://photos.imageevent.com/brobert/bobdeer2002/websize/stand-3.jpg View Quote How in the hell did you get that arrow to fall on her like that? What type of bow you using to chunk that big thing. Must be a Luminok arrow. You can see it glowing after the shot |

Great pics guys, especially with deer in view. We all have our own honey holes. Mine is/was in Suffield, CT on private land. Owner has 120 acres, been hunting now for close to 30 years and have taken dozens of deer. Last spring he clear cut the land, taking out most oak trees, went there opening day, looked like a bomb went off..
Looks soooo different now. Yeah it will be sometime before things grow in a bit |

New 8'x8' stand. Hopefully I will have it sided with windows and a door on it in the next couple months. It overlooks a swamp and pond on one side and our hay field on the other. Shot a doe last year out of it. Wish I had better pics of the view.
