That's a nice animal, and I gotta say agood picture. Good idea to leave out all the gore if you can. No point in upsetting people who might be "on the fence" about hunting.
Where (on the deer) did you shoot it? One shot one kill?
  Thanks

No more placeholders for me ..... Placeholder=BAD LUCK.....

I have the tools..Now all I need is a TARGET.

My friend shot this one this morning! Not me But I thought it was a worthy pic

I am very happy for him! He hasn't filled a tag in 7 years..It's only been 3 for me...Come to think of it I have not killed one since I started hangin' out on this website!

Well,I found what I was after...Just too bad some other ass-wipe beat me to it.....I found the blood trail under a fresh three inches of snow..Dumn ass that shot it obviously did not even bother to track it!The Yotes ate very well for a couple of days. The kids are my neighbors...They thought it was fun to cut off a deers head....That was all that was left.

My son, the West Point cadet, shot his first deer ever on the final day of Indiana's muzzleloader season.  Not only was it his first deer, but it was the first time he fired a muzzleloader rifle.  His military marksmanship training paid off because he drilled it at a distance of 120 yards.  I think I was more excited than he was!

NO NEGATIVE
15y shot deer stopped mostly behind thick brush with only head and neck showing. We did have a talk.

opening day for bow season here in NY's Southern Zone.  In my stand at 6AM, this 9 pointer walks up at 7:33AM.  Seems like it took forever for him to turn broadside, but it was only 1 minute according to the cuddeback pics below.

Cuddeback Pics

yeah, i spined him!  it was only a 10-12 yard shot from an 18 foot stand. i aimed real low with my 25yard pin and if i had aimed for vitals, i would have missed over his back.  at least i didn't have to track him.  i did have to scramble down out of my stand and stick an arrow thru his heart though.

That's a pretty amazing sequence of photos, I think I would have to frame those 2.  And spine shots, while not optimal, always result in a recovered deer.

Mule deer I shot Friday night right before sundown. One round 180gr Accubond put him down. Had to drag him 1/2 mile down a nasty canyon/creek bottom choked with aspens... in the dark, alone.  ETA: Cheddar-Beer sausage IN MA BELLY!.... less than 24 hours after the kill!
