Never underestimate the power of human stupidity. Just do a search on Youtube for "Flat Earth", "free energy generators" or " Electrical Smart Meters are dangerous". LOL. There are a bunch of self proclaimed "experts" who make the videos and you would not  believe how many people buy into their BS.

When I was just starting with ham radio, about 30-some years ago, we had a neighbor who tried to sue my dad and I for causing health problems due the the RF radiation from our big HF quads. He wrote letters to numerous government organizations claiming that his daughter had frequent diarrhea and difficulty sleeping caused by radio waves from our antenna. He also complained that he could hear us in his TV. He also threatened to take down the antenna (120 ft up in the air) but it never happened. LOL.
One day we had several government officials show up at our place demanding to inspect our radios (all 100% homemade of course). They brought all kinds of measuring equipment with them. They also inspected the neighbor's apartment and measures the amount of RF radiation.
They have not found anything wrong with the radios. They found that the neighbor's TV antenna was not installed properly and the antenna's terminals were heavily corroded thus causing the "interference" problems. The amount of RF energy from our station was very low, actually a lot lower than RF field caused by a nearby TV transmitter and several AM broadcast stations in the area. They told the neighbor to stop harassing us. The neighbor was a college professor of......................Liberal Arts.

One advantage to my attic antennas, is that no one in my neighborhood knows I am a ham.
