For some reason today at work, I was reminded of a book I read a few times in school and really enjoyed.

It's about a 16 year old boy and his family having to trek across country to try and survive after major volcanic eruptions in the Sierra Nevada mountains (IIRC).

I really enjoyed it when i was younger, and figured some of you guys might want some ideas for books for teens and young adults to read.

There's also a sequel that I never read.
