Next chapter starts off a little slow, but speeds up towards the end. Has a little comic relief I feel some might read and think "yeah, been there done that with my family."
And apologies in advance to any squirrels living in the areas I depict. You will understand when you read it. And didn't cliff hang end it, sort of did, but that will be revealed in the near future. |

Grand! I was right a few pages ago when I thought you'd hinted at who O'Connor really was!
I'm glad I didn't post who I suspected, I would've ruined your build up to this point! |

I tried to throw off the scent enough throughout the story when O'Connor first appeared to sew enough doubt in who he really was. Even though you thought you might have known who he was, there was probably lingering doubt in your mind if Kilgore really was O'Connor, especially with the way he acted at some points. But truth be told, Kilgore's alternate identity, O'Connor, actually was never meant to be him. As originally written out, he was just going to be a drone within the Independence Party with limited parts; mainly just doing the whole "we want that Donati guy alive to blow the top off the Administration" routine. But eventually I decided it was too good of an opportunity to wrap the two together and create the "gray man on the phone" for the story with a little darkness surrounding him. However, Kilgore/O'Connor is not even close to being done. We still have a few more scenes with him. |

O. W. Good read! Sad ending.... I'm thinking you killed off a particular female to help end that little moral conflict. Just a guess at who... Not gonna say here who I think, I'll wait to discuss why until you release for certain who it was. |

A pin could be heard dropping until the voice of Ben Murray was heard muttering “We bought some nachos?”
I completely busted out laughing and my over sized (122lb) 9 year old black lab that shakes his butt along with his tale come over to me acting like the puppy he has always been to me. This story is very good. So far Ive enjoyed almost ever line of it ( except when the woman broke my train of thought pestering me that is) I would love to have the entire story as a PDF to pass on to friends and family. Its rare a book grabs me and I cant put it down! I havent scanned on to see if the story is complete but I really hope it is!!! |
|
I didn't do it.
You can't prove it. The sheep are lieing! |
To comment on the content of the story... Two 500lb bombs were dropped on a barn and they were able to account for the 6 bodies inside? 7th on the designator and 8th MIA? A thousand lbs of ordinance dropped on a BARN..... and 7 bodies were identified? What did they drop on the barn 1000 lbs of sand bags?

A little creative work on my part, but the human body does tend to do strange things when exposed to explosives. Some bodies don't look like they've been through an explosion, others are torn to shreds. I mean, it could have been delayed action, superquick action that went off the moment it hit the door. They could have been shielded somewhat by equipment in the barn, so on and so forth. For the intent of the story, I needed seven out of the eight to be identified, or at least accounted for, so I took the liberty of showing the best case scenario. I am glad you are enjoying the story and taking the time to point out small details like this though. I appreciate the feedback. |
