I noticed some nice healthy (suckers) or new trunks growing near the bottom of my tree. They have actually gotten pretty good size. Do I need to cut them off, or will it not hurt the tree in its ability to be healthy and provide fruit for me and my family. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Visual asthetics are not important, but having a healthy producing tree is. Tree is only 4 years old and about 13 feet high. Thanks.

Cut them off.

Yes cut them off.  They don't do anything for the tree and are growing from the root stock not the cherry tree.
