Apologies if this has been posted before but I saw this and had to share.  Looks like a really neat DIY project that could be handy not just for preps but for normal around the house use as well.  With the right O-Rings (Buna-N?) it would probably do OK with fuels although I wouldn't expect it to last forever.  Could be used to pump up an air bed, but I'm not so sure about a pneumatic tire... maybe for a lawn mower or wheelbarrow.

Don't know if it has been posted here before but I have seen it and made one myself. It works really well!  Put a pressure tank on the other side and use it to pressurized your train barrel to water the garden.

And those check valves are great for tons of other projects.
